Medical Obesity · Boston & New York
Medical obesity is not a willpower problem. It is metabolic dysregulation, and it is treatable. Alexis Beck was born with it, and knows what the medication does and does not do.

The difference
A GLP changes appetite. It does not teach a body what to do with less food, protect muscle, or decide what happens at the top of the dose.
Before any recommendation
Medical and behavioral history. Hearing the challenge of your obesity, in your words, before anything is recommended.
The metabolic and inflammatory read, with labs and body composition. This is where the actual picture appears.
The synthesis, and the protocol built from it. Nutrition, metabolic work, and the behavioral piece that makes it hold.
The clinician
A Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist who has spent twenty five years on metabolic regulation and the long work that follows weight loss.
She sees a deliberately small number of patients each week, because the protocol that makes it hold cannot be delivered at volume.
How care is delivered
New patients are seen in person for the initial assessment when possible. Continuing care can be either, or a mix.
Long enough to do clinical work rather than a check-in. Plus messaging between sessions.
Alexis sends clinical notes and shares labs. Your prescriber keeps prescribing. What changes is that somebody is doing the other half.
Questions
A clinical treatment delivered by a Registered Dietitian: assessment, a metabolic and nutritional protocol, and the behavioral work that makes it hold. It is the standard of care for a metabolic condition, and it is the piece most people never receive.
No. Your prescriber keeps prescribing. Alexis does the work around it: nutrition, metabolic regulation, protecting muscle, and the stabilization phase after the loss. Nothing here asks you to change your medication.
NutritionRx is private pay only, deliberately. That model is what buys real assessment, between-session messaging and multi-year continuity, none of which fit inside a reimbursement model. Exact fees are discussed on your consultation.
Most stay for years rather than weeks, because that is how long sustained weight loss actually takes. A program ends on a schedule. This does not.
Because most of what you tried started with a protocol instead of an assessment. Nothing is recommended here until the Three-Phase Assessment is done. You cannot treat what nobody measured.
By application
Every prospective patient is reviewed personally by Alexis. If NutritionRx is the right fit, you will be told that. If it is not, you will be told that too.
